Ms. Murphy and her C.S.P.E class carried out a fundraiser for the K.W.W.S.P.C.A this year in KTCS. A raffle was carried out and a cake sale took place to raise money which went towards funding a new animal shelter in Kildare. Buns were sold which were decorated for Saint Patrick's day by Ms. Murphy and many students won chocolate, sweets, Easter eggs, and cinema vouchers in the raffle.
This was an exciting project for our C.S.P.E class as we learned about animal welfare and protection and we got to see the amazing work that the volunteers at the Kildare animal shelter do for animals in our local community. Three volunteers came to KTCS to speak to us about animal welfare and how we can help animals in our local community. We also got to meet two dogs from the shelter on the day, who were going abroad to live in Sweden! We raised a significant amount for the K.W.W.S.P.C.A and wish the volunteers the best of luck raising funds to build a new shelter, and want to thank them for speaking to us and showing us the brilliant work they do for animals!
