Ms Jones' & Ms Bartley's 6th year Art History class went to visit Castletown House in Celbridge on Friday the 6th of September last.
The study of Georgian Architecture is part of the Leaving Cert Art History course and Castletown House is one of Irelands finest examples of Palladian Architecture.
It was built for William Conolly, the Speaker of the Irish House of Commons in 1722 and formed the centerpiece of a 550 acre estate - perfectly highlighting his stand in society.
