5th Year programme options in KTCS

Dear Parent/ Guardian

I want to inform you of the different Programmes available to your child after completing their Junior Certificate. If you are looking to do Transition Year or Leaving Cert Applied, this requires your child to apply for the programme early in the New Year and be interviewed to see if they are suitable candidates. The School Admissions policy for both programmes can be found on the school website. An information night for Parents/ Guardians will follow in the new year regarding these programmes.

If you choose to go into the 5th Year Leaving Cert mainstream programme, I have provided information about the Leaving Cert Vocational Programme. This is an additional subject that your child may be able to avail of. It is a programme that has many benefits for the students and can be used as a subject for CAO purposes. More information about this programme will be made available on the subject choice information evening for next year’s 5^th Year. You will be notified of the time and date of this event closer to the appointed time.
